DIY: Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Fall is my favorite time of year. Aside from being able to layer clothing again, October-November has Halloween and Thanksgiving. The only two holidays I take seriously.
In the past, I planned my Halloween costumes months in advance.
I would strategically plan to go on as many haunted hayrides and apple picking excursions as I could fit in two months. But this year was different. I’m actively paying down credit debt and spending money on a Halloween costume felt frivolous. Also, for the first time in a long time I wasn’t in the mood to do it. The fact that I didn’t have the energy to actively enjoy one of my favorite holidays was sad to me. So I bought a pumpkin and decided to roast sea salt and garlic roasted pumpkin seeds!
It’s easy to make and takes approx. 45 min to roast.
Ingredients:
Sea Salt
Garlic Salt
Pumpkin Seeds
Aluminum Foil
Step 1.) Cut Top Off Of Pumpkin.
Step 2.) Separate Seeds From Guts.
Step 3.) Arrange Seeds In A Single Layer, Season, and Roast.
Step 4.) Enjoy!
Also, filling your pumpkin half way with water and carving an extra hole on the side for a bowl and down-stem is a great way to get the Fall Festivities started!
